Our responsibility does not just start when residents move into our inpatient care facilities. We want to meet them much earlier and to accompany them in their lives. This is why ASB Regional Confederation Herne-Gelsenkirchen is significantly expanding its outpatient structures as well as its advisory services. We have set up contact points, where we give comprehensive advice to people in need of care and their relatives and think together about a suitable solution within the region. These ASB information points are located in three districts in Herne and staffed several times a week by a professional advisor. Our residential care facilities constitute as genuine community and care centres a crucial hub in the respective city districts. The cafeteria is not the sole favourite venue for many passers-by and visitors from the surroundings. Numerous other activities such as art exhibitions, information evenings or discussion panels also attract guests on a regular basis. Besides, we are offering with the senior citizen residential group a form of care that can be a sensible choice way ahead of institutionalization.
